Our Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program is an enduring promise of refinement, transparency, and lifelong brilliance — created exclusively for Maison Artisan engagement rings.
This program applies to center diamonds crafted or curated by Maison Artisan, including both Artisan lab-grown diamonds and our selection of natural diamonds.
A Promise That Lasts a Lifetime
Clients may upgrade their original center diamond at any time, with no expiration. Whether celebrating an anniversary, welcoming a new chapter, or simply elevating the presence of your diamond, the process is tailored entirely around your vision.
You may upgrade to:
- A larger carat weight
- A higher-value or premium-quality diamond
- A Maison Artisan natural diamond
- A Maison-exclusive or proprietary cut
- A coloured diamond
- Or upgrade a natural diamond to a more substantial natural stone
Every upgrade is guided by transparency, artistry, and the uncompromising standards that define our maison.
How the Upgrade Works
Your original center diamond will be credited at its full original purchase value toward your new selection, provided the following conditions are met:
- The diamond is in its original, undamaged condition. Normal wear is expected; however, chips, cracks, fractures, or structural damage may affect eligibility.
- All original documentation is provided.
Including:
- Maison Artisan Diamond Certificate
- Laboratory certification IGI or GIA
- Appraisal (if applicable)
- Original invoice or proof of purchase
- The new diamond is of equal or greater value. Upgrade selections must exceed or match the value of the original diamond.
- New craftsmanship fees apply. Any upgrade requiring resetting, redesigning, or modifications will incur new craftsmanship fees, as each upgraded diamond is re-crafted with fresh precision and care by our in-house artisans.
When Maison Artisan May Decline an Upgrade
To uphold the integrity of the program and maintain our high standards, Maison Artisan may respectfully decline an upgrade request under the following circumstances:
- The diamond has been damaged or structurally compromised. Includes chips, cracks, fractures, or alterations not present at purchase.
- The diamond has been unset, reset, or handled by an external jeweller. Third-party work may compromise the stone’s condition and void eligibility.
- Required documentation is missing or incomplete. The diamond cannot be evaluated without original certifications or invoices.
- The diamond shows evidence of undisclosed treatments. Such as fillings, coatings, clarity enhancements, or other modifications.
- The new diamond does not meet minimum value requirements. Upgrade diamonds must be equal or higher in value than the original.
- Unique or proprietary stones requiring specialized review. Certain custom or rare shapes may require additional assessment and may not be eligible.
If an upgrade cannot be completed, our specialists will provide transparent guidance and alternative solutions.

Every upgrade request is managed by our in-house specialists and master jewellers. You will receive:
- A detailed diamond comparison
- Transparent upgrade credit and pricing
- A revised design or craftsmanship proposal (if required)
- A clear timeline for production and setting
Your original diamond is respectfully retained within our atelier and is never placed into another client’s piece. It remains part of your personal Maison Artisan narrative.
